BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
This is an experience that I honestly never thought I was going to have, but it happened and I am extremely grateful to have lived it. The company decided to carry out a regional restructuring and close the smaller offices to concentrate them in 2 geographically strategic offices in the region, for which I was asked to execute the closure of the same and leave it in dormant status, just in case in the future would like to reactivate. My regional leader gave me the corresponding guidelines with absolute carte blanche to do everything necessary to make the closure as less traumatic as possible, but it should be completed in 60 days.
Since I had some offers from other companies to take new professional alternatives, to which I had given my refusal because I had a commitment with Bearingpoint, I took this situation to transform a negative situation into an opportunity to benefit all possible parties. I got back in touch with one of them and began negotiations to see the alternative of emigrating to this new company, but no longer individually, but with the entire work team. In this way, I would prevent my team from being left on the street, reduce potential labor contingencies as much as possible, maintain customer service with as little discomfort as possible, and execute the required closure of the current office.
In the meantime, Bearingpoint wanted to keep me in the organization, offering me a position of regional COO, but that implied a relocation in Brazil, which at that time was not in my plans and I could not achieve the strategy I had in mind to provide a continuity of work for the majority of the work team.
In short, I achieved my incorporation together with that of the majority of my team to the new employer, the services of the clients were transferred to the new company and the Buenos Aires office was closed in a timely manner, minimizing all contingencies, and providing a solution to all parties. This project was extremely stressful but the results were worth it and it gave me great personal satisfaction to have achieved the objective that I set for myself and to be able to give a satisfactory solution to all parties.
