BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
This was an atypical project, since the closure of BearingPoint Argentina’s operations had been defined by the company’s global strategic issues. Given that BearingPoint had a global contract with Microsoft for the license and asset management service, at the time of closing our operation the company would have breached this global contract in Latin America Southern Cone.
What we did in this case was the following: As the closure of the Argentine operation had already been determined, in my personal case I entered into negotiations with another global consulting company in the market that had offered to link me to it once the process of closing, I began negotiations with all the parties, that is, my superior reporters, the decision levels of the client and with the company that was hiring my services in the short term, and we reached an agreement to migrate Bearingpoint’s services to the new company that was hiring my services, and the entire work team was mobilized to the new company with me, making the corresponding contract session between the parties.
In this way, I was able to bring a solution to all parties, since the client maintained the service team with all its know-how, there was no interruption in the service, Bearingpoint benefited from not breaching the service contract, the people on the service team They did not lose their job, on the contrary, they obtained a job continuity and the new company gained a new business without major efforts to acquire a new client. It was a stressful process but very satisfying for me since I was able to manage a solution in which all parties won and were satisfied.
