Sabritas Mexico HP3000 Servers for Pepsico Argentina

At Sabritas de México, PepsiCo Food International Headquarters for Latin America, Backoffice, Sales and production systems were used based on the HP 3000 platform, under the Unix operating system. The strategy was to adapt the systems used in Mexico to the Argentine tax location and implement the rest of the systems as standard for local operations. 

Based on this, it was defined that I would travel to Mexico to carry out the adaptations on a server specifically prepared for PepsiCo’s operation in Argentina, all the tests would be carried out in that country and the Server would be ready to be put into operation from Mexico to Argentina, thus speeding up implementation times. 

This was done and for a period of 6 months I worked in both countries until I achieved the objective, and at the end of the 1st year, on a return trip from Mexico to Argentina, I transported the HP 3000 Server with me, and we put it to work in the following days after my arrival. All the operation and connectivity tests were carried out, both internal and with the Mexican operation, the training plan was carried out, both for users and the IT area team, the migration of information from the S / 36 System was carried out to the new system on HP3000 and the operation went live. 

All of this was achieved in a period of 9 months. This project had a high impact, not only because of the results achieved in time and budget, but also because of the extensive experience it gave me from every point of view, both professionally and personally.
